Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive, as it slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and eventually the ability to perform the simplest tasks. But there are things in our surroundings like music that help activate the brain’s minds that are spared of it.
A study conducted by the researchers at the University of Utah Health, examined this region of the brain to develop music-based treatments to help alleviate anxiety in patients with dementia. Full story.
