Established in 1998, the Miami International Piano Festival is composed of two parts – the Master Series to be held in March and the Discovery Series being presented in May. The master series of the festival will feature Ilya Itin from Russia, performing the works of Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff; while musicians such as Gulsin Onay from Turkey and Jorge Luis Prats from Cuba will also appear on the stage. The discovery series of the festival meanwhile will see Chinese pianist Ran Gia’s South Florida debut and our very own award winning 13-year-old Aristo Sham’s performance.
