Date: June 19 to August 7, 2010
Country: United Kingdom

The Iford Arts Festival is an event of opera productions, held annually in Iford Manor, a medieval estate in Wiltshire, south-west England. The performances are staged in the award-winning Peto Garden, designed in Italianate style by English architect Harold Peto. The Festival aims to present operatic works with high musical standards, and to offer performance opportunities to young musicians.

In the 2010 edition, three productions will be staged, all sung in English. La Cenerentola, Rossini’s operatic dramma giocoso, will be presented by Alex Ashworth and Christina Haldane, accompanied by CHROMA Chamber Ensemble; Serse, an opera seria by Handel, will be delivered with Jonathan Brown in the leading role, and the music by early music ensemble La Nuova Musica; Verdi’s Rigoletto will be brought to the audience by Colette Boushell, with the Pepsys Ensemble conducted by Oliver Gooch.
