Paris, as well as being the City of Light, is, for some people, also the City of Dreams. In so many images, the city comes to life – the open vistas and city views from the Eiffel Tour, the magnificent fountains at Versailles, the way the traffic ceaselessly flows around the Arc of Triumph, the modernist construction of the Pompidou Center – there’s a little bit for everyone. To bring back that wonderful city, long summer nights or brisk winter evenings, and the entertainment that can be found everywhere, listen to our playlist for some memory revival!

Morning:

you arrive and the city is at your feet:
Gershwin: An American in Paris
Delius: Paris: The Song of a Great City

Marais: La Sonnerie de Ste. Genevieve du Mont de Paris
Evening:

perhaps a concert or a show?
Mozart: Symphony No. 31 in D Major, K. 297, “Paris”: I. Allegro assai
Bernstein: Candide: Act I: Paris Waltz Scene
Offenbach: Orphée aux enfers: Act II: Can-Can
Maitrier: Elle fréquentait la rue Pigalle
And what are you doing next spring?
