The 7th Internationaler Klavierwettbewerb (International Piano Competition) “J. S. Bach” Würzburg is a contest specially dedicated to J.S. Bach, one of the greatest Baroque composers. The competition welcomes young pianists of all nationalities who are capable of demonstrating profound skills and presenting Bach’s repertoires with individualistic interpretations. Members of the Jury include Monique Duphil, Silke-Thora Matthies, Anne Borg, Malta, Chih-Yu Chen and others from different countries. This year’s competition will be held in memory of Walter Blankenheim, one of the founders and the head of this contest.
