The Florence International Chamber Music Competition “Premio Vittorio Gui” was initially founded in 1977 and has been running for over 30 years. The competition is organized under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic. Different chamber music categories are open to prospective chamber groups, including Violin and Piano Duo; Viola and Piano Duo; Violoncello and Piano Duo; String Trio and Quartet; Piano and String Trio, Quartet and Quintet; and Wind Quintet. Seven qualified musicians, including Piero Bellugi, Alfonso Ghedin and Natalia Gutman were invited to join the Jury for the competition.
