I have a passion for music.

I was born in Shanghai into a family of musicians and moved to Paris in my early years. My mother, a professional pianist, always wanted me to have a career as a concert pianist, and I practised religiously for many years. When I left school, however, circumstances led me to enter the fashion business.

Nevertheless, after all those years of practising piano and going to concerts, my passion for classical music is undiminished.

Interlude is my love letter to music. Here I have tried to create a haven where fans of classical music can relive their favourite pieces and discover enlightening facts and lesser-known histories. We are fortunate to have a range of contributors to share their impressions of productions and places, the pervading influence of music and the extraordinary lives of the people who create it. I hope you enjoy their unique voices as much as I do.

For those seeking a new concert to attend, I invite you to browse our list of international music festivals and special events, chosen for both the music and the destination. I also encourage you to drop by the competitions section to lend an ear to the stars of tomorrow as they play with the authenticity and hope of youth.

Welcome to Interlude, created by lovers of music for those who share their passion. I hope it inspires you to embark on your own voyage of musical and cultural discovery, and that you’ll come back and share your experiences with us.
